The dust goes in the machine, not your house
Refinishing normally coats every room you own in fine dust that keeps turning up for months. That is why most people live with a floor they do not like instead of fixing it.
Shaun runs containment equipment that pulls the dust straight off the sander before it reaches the air. Vents get sealed before the first pass. Most families stay in the house the whole time.

Shaun does every part of it himself
Shaun Humphreys has been finishing hardwood floors in Utah County for twenty seven years. The sanding, the stain, the finish, all of it is him. He has never sent a crew into somebody's house and he is not about to start.
That is also why he only takes one job a week. It is the only way he knows to do it properly, and it means the person who quotes your floor is the person standing on it.
